Recognized as one of the 20 most influential individuals in private equity in Europe in 2016, his research has significantly influenced both academic and regulatory discussions, with his work widely cited in various media.
Notably, Professor Phalippou’s paper “How Alternative Are Private Markets?” received the prestigious Jack Treynor Prize in 2018, recognizing its potential applications in investment management. He holds degrees in Economics and Mathematical Finance from esteemed institutions, including Toulouse School of Economics and the University of Southern California, culminating in a PhD in Finance from INSEAD.
